Money Lessons You Can Learn from #Beychella

Beyoncé Knowles Carter made history as the first African American female to headline Coachella Music Festival. In honor of her legendary performance, fans named it “Beychella” and it became the most tweeted about Coachella act. The nearly two-hour long act was outstanding and had some money lessons that you may have overlooked. Do not worry because I am sharing how to get your finances in formation from #Beychella.

Consistency Pays Off

As an artist, Beyoncé has evolved from making catchy pop songs to creating visual albums with compelling themes and powerful lyrics. Beyoncé’s impressive Coachella performance is a demonstration of her hard work and consistency over nearly four decades. She has been working on her craft from a young age. While the media notes her start in 1997, Bey was grinding way before she received mainstream attention.

When it comes to your money, career, or anything you want to achieve, you must be consistent. Break down your goals into baby steps and make daily choices that brings you closer to achieving them. Consistency has paid off for Beyoncé and it will for you too.

Best Revenge is Your Paper

We all face difficulties, whether it is due to usual life struggles or challenging people. The best way to achieve revenge is to overcome those challenges (or challengers) by doing well. Ignore the negativity by being focused on living your best life and prospering financially.

During Beyoncé’s Coachella performance she did not rely on one method to entertain the crowd. She featured a New Orleans-style marching band, brass and string players, HBCU-like step squads, a baton twirler, dancers, and other musical guests. It was an epic showcase of musical diversity. In the same regard, you should not rely on one stream of income to create wealth or one investment tool. Find multiple streams of income to build wealth and spread your risk among various investment options.

Turn Lemons into Lemonade

A financial setback – due to being in debt, losing a job, or experiencing an unexpected emergency – can be devastating or a chance to start fresh with a better viewpoint. Beyoncé’s Lemonade album lyrics encourages you to have a positive attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. As Queen Bey has shown, when you embrace the bad, you can overcome hardship, turn things around, and triumph.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

Bey’s performance will be talked about for years. It has already been called the most compelling musical performance of 2018. Not only is she leaving a musical legacy but she is establishing a legacy for her family and children. At the end of the night she dedicated the Coachella set to her twins.  Bey makes money decisions with the financial future of her children in mind. In the same way, you should strive to be so wealthy that you can leave assets for your family and friends when you pass.

BeyINSPIRED Takeaways

I see it, I want it
I stunt, yeah, little hornet
I dream it, I work hard
I grind ’til I own it …

Beyoncé sets her goals and grinds tirelessly until she achieves them. One of my favorite quote is – “You have the same 24 hours in a day as Beyoncé.” The legendary singer is restricted by the same time limitations yet finds the strength and motivation to be a boss. What’s your dream? What’s your goal? What’s the thing you’d really like to achieve this year? Beyoncé is already plotting how she is going to execute her next big goal. In the same way, you should too.
